About Me

I’m a Canadian photographer, a former soldier, an adventurer, and an entrepreneur.

I began taking photos shortly after returning from my deployment to Afghanistan in 2009. Upon my return to Canada I felt a strong pull, a desire to be surrounded by, and immersed in nature. Not long after that, I discovered the modern day camera, and purchased my first DSLR.

At first learning the complexities of today’s DSLR’s was a tedious and overwhelming process. It didn’t take me long to realize, that simply pointing an expensive camera at something, won’t get you a good photograph. I started watching and reading every tutorial I could find, whether it was about gear, or some other aspect of photography I wanted to learn. Slowly, I started to learning the ins and outs of the modern day camera. As much as I was learning on my own, I knew if I was going to take my learning to the next level, I would need some professional help. So I took the leap and enrolled in a photojournalism program. I thought this would be a great way to improve my photography skills and learn to write in the process.

So here I am, years later, a graduate, a trained photographer, a former soldier, an entrepreneur and still an adventurer.
